The cause
Breast cancer begins with the formation of a malignant tumor in the breast. A malignant tumor is a group of cancer cells that can grow into nearby tissues and can spread (metastasize) to other areas of the body

Pain in your breasts can be a sign of breast cancer if it persists over a period of time plus it is associated with any of the following symptoms.

TOUCH your breasts, If you can feel any lumps or swelling in the breasts then this may be a case of concern
LOOK for changes in size or texture.
Change in shape or size? For example, one breast looks larger than the other.
Change in color.
If any breast looks inflamed or red, then look for a doctor as soon as possible.
Change in nipples
Do either of your nipples look different? For example, a changed position or shape.
Pain in your breast or armpit almost all the time.
Nipple charge
Unusual nipple discharge that occurs without squeezing.
Change in skin texture
Do you feel creasing of the skin around either of the breasts?
