The National Geographic Magazine launched an enlightening and shockingly revealing campaign. Their cover depicts their theory called ‘Planet or Plastic?’ and it is something that we all need to see and learn from. Each and every one of us is aware of the alarming condition the planet Earth is in and the reason why we say this is all that darn plastic that keeps loitering around everywhere. The condition is serious and it is difficult to sincerely comprehend and explain how to help eradicate it. And this is one of the reasons for the campaigns; to let people know how they are damaging the planet. While the cover in itself explains a lot, once you open the magazine you’ll see a sad world, a world full of plastic and its consequences. And trust us, it isn’t what you wish to see, it will leave you thinking hard.
Here’s all that the new National Geographic Magazine has to offer and how the cover is epic; enough to leave you thinking hard.
The new feature of National Geographic channel features their newest campaign highlighting plastic waste.
All of us are well aware of the dangers plastic possess to living life on the planet Earth.
But the situations are way alarming than we think they are.
We all need to feel how terribly we are damaging the planet we live on by throwing waste everywhere. Plastic is dangerous!
Can you realize how terrible the situation is through these pictures? We bet you can.
According to National Geographics, “The largest market for plastics today is packaging materials. That trash now accounts for nearly half of all plastic waste generated globally—most of it never gets recycled or incinerated.”
These powerful and vividly awakening pictures will scare you.
P.S. A quick fact: Over 9 million tonnes of plastic waste is dumped each year. Imagine what it does to our environment and wildlife.
Doesn’t this old plastic fishing net snares a loggerhead turtle in the Mediterranean off Spain, explain everything?
Every damage, no matter how little it is, damage something or the other.
The campaign tends to show how waste is damaging and it is time to take a pledge to dramatically reduce the use of packed stuff especially plastic.
Will you take a pledge?
Let’s take a pledge to make simple conscious choices when it comes to buying stuff to survive and make this planet a better place for us and for all other human beings.
